Esce ad un anno esatto dall’omonimo esordio, questo secondo EP per i pesaresi Seaside Postcards. Dodici mesi vissuti intensamente, tra defezioni e nuovi arrivi, scoramenti ed iniezioni di fiducia in se stessi, speranza e fede. Ecco, proprio questi due stati d’animo sono quelli che più di ogni altro hanno tracciato il cammino di questo nuovo lavoro. Spogliati di qualsivoglia accezione religioso/teistica, ma piuttosto vissuti e concepiti con “fervente” slancio laico, Speranza e Fede ( termini ormai desueti nella nostra società tecnocratica) saranno i motori della nuova umanità, quella che saprà creare uomini e donne capaci di distruggere e non ergere nuovi templi, donne e uomini che calandosi negli anfratti più reconditi del loro essere, sapranno riemergere con la testa di Ade in mano.

Prova di questa rinnovato “sentire” sono questi 5 pezzi pubblicati il 29 settembre 2012 e registrati al Basement Studio di Manu Magnini (Versailles, Seaside Postcards) dove dalle sonorità Post-Punk e glaciali che caratterizzavano l’esordio, si è cercato di virare verso soluzioni di più ampio respiro, con l’innesto di una seconda chitarra e soluzioni armoniche più aperte e cangianti; ulteriore testimonianza di ciò è la presenza della bellissima e diafana voce di Laura Casiraghi (Starcontrol).

Ecco, per fare della sinossi spicciola utile ad identificare e meglio collocare questo nuovo lavoro, diremo che i quattro pesaresi, con i piedi ancora ben piantati negli anni ’80, hanno cercato di giocare anche con gli stilemi che caratterizzarono la decade successiva, decade nella quale sono musicalmente cresciuti. Ciò che avete in mano è l’istantanea di un viaggio, di quelle che ci si ostina a guardare cercando di rinverdire i fasti di un passato che non è più o, forse, non è mai stato.

This second Seaside Postcards' EP comes exactly one year after the homonymous debut.
Twelve months of hard living, among defections and new arrivals, discouragements and injections of self-esteem, hope and faith. Well, these two states of mind are the ones who more than any other have paved the way for this new work. Stripped of any religious/theistic meaning, but rather lived and conceived with "fervent" secular momentum, Hope and Faith (terms almost obsolete in our technocratic society) will be the engines of the new humanity, a humanity that will be able to create men and women capable to destroy and not erect new temples, women and men that, descending in the innermost recesses of their beings, will re-emerge with the head of Hades in their hands.

An evidence of this renewed "feeling" are these five songs published on September 29, 2012 and recorded at Manu Magnini's Basement Studio (Versailles, Container 47, Seaside Postcards) where the Post-Punk and icy sounds that characterized the beginning, left room for more comprehensive solutions, with the addition of a second guitar and more open and iridescent harmonic keys; further evidence of this is the presence of the beautiful and diaphanous voice of Laura Casiraghi (Starcontrol).

So, making a petty synopsis useful to identify and better place this new work, we will say that the four from Pesaro, with their feet still firmly planted in the '80s, tried to play with the style that characterized the next decade, the decade in which they have musically grown. What you have in your hand is a polaroid of a journey, the one that we persist in looking at, trying to revive the splendour of a past that is no longer, or perhaps has never been.
